23rd Street, Sacramento CA
A past project completed a number of years ago; this 1890’s historic 4-plex located in Midtown, Sacramento was ripe with opportunity but a lot of work. It’s age puts it among some of the oldest buildings in Sacramento. Over the last 120+ years it has been converted from a single family home in to the multi-unit building it is now through various renovations.
Each of the four units are set up differently. The top two units are both two bedrooms with a bedroom in the front and rear but with totally different interiors. One boasts the original clawfoot tub, while the other has a modern but elegant walk-in shower with frameless glass doors and marble highlights. We kept as many original elements as we could but due to the condition two of the units required a complete overhaul.
The two downstairs units are also set up differently as well. Both are one bedrooms but one with an open concept design and the other with more of the original layout. From structural work to replacing the original knob and tube wiring, there wasn’t much we didn’t do to get this building back in to shape.
All of the units in the building today operate as short-term rentals and we have hosted thousands of guests from around the world who enjoy the prime location, historic style, and the nearby restaurants and entertainment options.
