23rd Street, Sacramento CA

A past project completed a number of years ago; this 1890’s historic 4-plex located in Midtown, Sacramento was ripe with opportunity but a lot of work. It’s age puts it among some of the oldest buildings in Sacramento. Over the last 120+ years it has been converted from a single family home in to the multi-unit building it is now through various renovations.

Each of the four units are set up differently. The top two units are both two bedrooms with a bedroom in the front and rear but with totally different interiors. One boasts the original clawfoot tub, while the other has a modern but elegant walk-in shower with frameless glass doors and marble highlights. We kept as many original elements as we could but due to the condition two of the units required a complete overhaul.

The two downstairs units are also set up differently as well. Both are one bedrooms but one with an open concept design and the other with more of the original layout. From structural work to replacing the original knob and tube wiring, there wasn’t much we didn’t do to get this building back in to shape.

All of the units in the building today operate as short-term rentals and we have hosted thousands of guests from around the world who enjoy the prime location, historic style, and the nearby restaurants and entertainment options.

The building was built in 1890 and although it had probably been renovated a couple times before we acquired it there… More Info

23rd Street apt #2

Sometimes when you’re working with a building thats 100+ years old its easier just to start from scratch. Fortunately we were able to save a cool built-in cabinet but other than that this apartment was completely renovated. We removed walls, reconfigured the bathroom, new flooring, electrical, plumbing, drywall and paint.… More Info

23rd Street apt #3

Perhaps more than any other of the units in the building, this one has the most historic charm. Maybe it’s the orginal clawfoot tub that we refinished, the 10ft ceilings, or the original wood floors. When I acquired the property this unit was laid out as a one bedroom but… More Info

23rd Street apt #4

Apartment #4 is certainly the most elegant of the four units in the building. With marble accents, a multi-unit mini split HVAC system, planked tile flooring throughout and it’s own laundry unit. The marble mosaic shower floor feels great on your feet and the tankless water heater provides an endless… More Info
